HELP!!

I got hurt doing construction in Aug. 06. My work doctor was rushing me to get back to work without a MRI. I went ot a different doctor and got one. The MRI stated " there is loss of disc signal at L3-4 and L4-5 with large annular tear seen at L3-4 and smaller tear at L4-5. There are disc protrusions or possible herniations seen centrally." What does all this mean in english? The workers comp. is refusing to let me see any doctors. They just want to but me off. I'm still in pain all the time. Im 30 years old and want ot be able to play with my kids. I use to play sports, jog, mountain bike. I cant do that anymore. Could the MRI have missed something? Please help me.  A doctor I just saw that I had to pay out of my pocket, said that surgery would be the only way to releave the pain.

I know what u mean. Instead of working to get us healthy to get back to work, they want to play games and drag this out. If they would have been honest from the start and worked to get me healed I would have been happy with that. Now they want to play games, I'm like u. LETS PLAY.

Yes, they will definitely drag it out..but Im not going anywhere either!! Im gonna play their game as long as they want!! They will get beyond sick of me...lol. Its sad that they play these games with us, instead of helping us get better so that we can go away quicker....but...since they want to play the games...im in it for as long as they want to be!

Thanks everyone, I hope everyone has a great Christmas. I know that they are going to drag my case out so I will get frustrated & go away. I'm not going anywhere. My lawyer told me that they will probally try to drag the case out over the next 2-3yrs. I told him I dont care and that they cant buy me off. There going to get sick of me!!

i know that money isnt everything....BUT...when it comes to your health....they should pay...EVERYTHING! im not hurting for money...but i tell you...when we go to mediation next month..i will LAUGH in their faces when they throw out the $$ amount to me...as i already know that it will be the absolute lowest figure in the book. I am going to string them out as long as they have me...im not letting them get off scott free. yes, its aggravating, and to some, it would be worth taking whatever they offer just to get rid of them...but to me....im trying to make a stand for myself.

im glad that you refused the offer of them waiving medical bills...you will probably get way more than they offered you the first go round...and medical guaranteed. however...from my understanding, if its not worded just right.......even if medical is included...they can refuse some treatments that the dr suggests...so i would make sure that there is a clause in there that states that no matter what treatment the dr suggests....they HAVE to pay for it.

Hey, I do have a attorney. The workers comp offered a settlement. They told me that they would give me $15,000 and give me medical treatment. At this time they were paying for my PT. I agreed to the settlement. I dont care about the $ I just want to get better. Well 3 weeks went by, and my attorney gets a call from the workers comp. lawyer. They tell him the only way that I can receive my money is if I agree to a clause in the settlement. They want me to waive them of all medical bills. They do not want to pay for any more treatment for me. I tell them to go to hell. They then cut off all my benefits, No more PT, no anything. We are now going to court in front of a judge and he will decide if I get anymore treatment. I really need to see a  doctor.

oh my! chris162....you REALLY need to consult with an attorney!  the annular tear is a ruptured disc. protrusions or herniations are bulging discs....which could eventually rupture........PLEASE do something.....workers comp should be paying your bills......as well as any wages lost!!!  you need to speak to a board certified workers comp attorney........learn the laws of your state regarding workers comp.....do it now!!!!!!   do not see another dr on your own.....that could hurt you worse than anything.....YOU REALLY NEED AN ATTORNEY!!! you should have gotten one the first second that they denied your treatment. you should have never went to a dr of your own...for many reasons...please please please...speak to an attorney....and learn the wc laws in your state....wc is NOT your friend...they will do everything they can to screw you....and they are hoping and praying that you will throw your hands up and give up and let your own insurance pay.......so that they dont have to pay........MAKE THEM PAY what they are supposed to pay!!!!!!  you will be the one screwed if you dont!!!
