Lower back pain - agony

Hello, I have for a couple of weeks been having a little bit of pain in my lower back - not much that has worried me, I just thought I might have slept funny - until 3 days ago, when my back has gone into complete agony - i am finding it hard to even stand up, iv had a bit of a bug - had diahorea for a couple of days and now I feel completely worn out, but it feels  like there is a certain point on my lower spine that whenever I touch it , it feels like an electric shock and this is where it is all centred. The pain goes all round my lower back and I am finding it difficult to move now. My testes are a bit painful as well now, and I still have more than usual urges to use the toilet. I'm a bit worried - any advice - many thanks

Needless to say you need an appointment with a physician and an MRI of the lumbar region L1-L-5.  X-rays are not sufficient circa 2013. At that point a determination will be made as to the extent of damage and as to whether you can benefit from physical therapy, or may need surgical intervention, in the form of a laminectomy. Do so as soon as possible. Meanwhile sleep with a pillow between your legs. You have my sympathies.
