Lower back pain Help

Ok im in a little predicament and not sure what to do. I just got the results from my MRI today and it's saying "at the L4-5 level, there is a diffuse disc bulge. There is a moderate sized left paracentral disc protrusion which demonstrates mass effect upon the left ventral thecal sac and contributes to moderate central spinal canal stenosis. There is bilateral foraminal encroachment due to bulging disc without overt foraminal stenosis." It also say's " At the L5-S1 level, there is a diffuse disc bulge. There is a small broad based left paracentral disc protusion which contacts the ventral thecal sac but does not contribute to significant central spinal canal stenosis. There is mild facet hypertrophy. There is bilateral foraminal encroachment due to bulging disc with minimal bilateral foraminal stenosis."

Ok so I know what stenonsis is and most the other stuff but here's the thing I got hurt at work and am tring to get worker's comp to cover this but wont know anything til late next week at the soonest, however my Dr. is wanting to refer me to a nueroligist (sp) so should I go ahead and go and pray worker's comp come's around and pay's or is it safe to wait til worker's comp does give me an answer. Is it going to get worse so i'll need a more extensive surgery if any or what?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I am leary of pain management clinics. All they do is prescribe medications and don't treat the real problem. Workers comp take a long time to go through, because they don't like to pay. You could always get a second opinion from a neuro surgeon. Save your reciepts and be reimbursed by Workers comp at a later date. Good luck to you

Have you been to Pain management clinic? You might want to try that route first and go thru all the non invasive procedures to see if they would help....Good luck to you and soft hugz
