MRI question

I have a picture up on my home page and I was wondering if the picture was of a ruptured disc or a herniated disc, or something else? Also what would you do to fix this problem?

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is a fairly new technique that has been used since the beginning of the 1980s.
The MRI scaner uses magnetic and radio waves to create pictures of tissues, organs and other structures within the body, which can then be viewed on a computer.
This means that, unlike some other modes of medical imaging, there is no exposure to X-rays or any other damaging forms of radiation.

It's like that on both sides of the spinal cord. the spinal cord has a bulge but not too bad, but next to the spinal cord it looks like it is blown out. Are those nerves?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

It takes several sections and multiple images to analyze a part of the body to get to a conclusive impression. It is best advised to have the MRI evaluated by a radiologist and the treating doctor for an accurate diagnosis and suggestion of an appropriate management plan.

Take care!
