I would go to the doctor and get it checked out. Pain can change your blood pressure and even make you feel like throwing up... keep us posted.
I would recommend an MRI of head/brain with CONTRAST, an MRI of the neck and a Neurology consult for starts.

This problem of yours seem to be like a case of Cervical Vertigo. Many conditions like vascular compression, compression of the spinal cord, cervical spondylosis, whiplash injury, etc may be causing the above symptoms. Try taking pain relievers (ibuprofen/diclofenac) and consult your doctor for the further management.
