What Does This Finding Mean?

I have chronic severe pain from DDD and currently use 150 mcg Fentanyl Patches every three days and use 10 mmHg Norco as needed for breakthrough pain. Two days ago I had a pelvic CT for a kidney problem and when the results came back this morning from the radiologist, I was shocked that there was more information concerning my spine than my kidneys! Here is what the report stated:

.  Advanced degenerative osseous changes with disc bulging and  multilevel disc osteophyte complex as described above. Grade 1  retrolisthesis of L5 on S1. MRI of the lumbar spine on an  outpatient basis may be of further benefit, if there continues to  be clinical concern.
Can someone please DECODE that diagnosis for me. THANKS

Your bone tissue is degenerating and you have bulging disc and bone spurs. The S1 and L5 vertebrae are displaced but not to the point of dislocation. They will want to do a mri so that they can see if there is a chance that the nerves may be in danger and to try to fix the problems you now have. Best wishes, Sissie

Please speak with the doctor that ordered the test for you. The report does tell in somewhat "normal" language in the "findings" section I believe. good luck,
