I cant get a dr. to give me medication because of the high addiction rate and yes i also understand that but i am sick of hurting everyday and like you said sleepless nights. Do you have any suggestions anything that would ease the pain?  God bless you i feel your pain.

Im so sorry you are going through all of this.  I was diagnosed at 17, and finally gave in and had my  first surgery at 27--discetomy of L4-5-6 S1 with fusion, screws and rods.  Now my middle and upper back are in bad shape but holding off for more surgery as long as I can since the recovery process is a long one and I have 3 children, two which are disabled.

Sometimes the injections do help, sometimes they dont. I found it hard to be taken seriously at such a young age due to such  a high addiction rate to pain medications. As I have gotten a tad older, people have finally started to take me a little more seriously.  The only thing that has really worked for me has been slow release pain medication...which of course has its down sides.  Laying on my side with a pillow between my legs also helps relieve some of the pain, and laying on a hard couch or floor.  I hope this helps.

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you at such a young age.  I'm 45 and diagnosed at 39.  It's really hard to imagine the rest of my life in pain.  Never stop looking for ways to help, and it's a good idea to not take the meds for as long as you can.  Listening to music helps.  Aren't we changed because of this?  God bless you and I'll pray for you.
