pain in left side of body

I've been having tension like pain on my left side starting from my head leading to my shoulders around 3 days now.just yesterday it turn into a sharp pain shooting down my arm and left side of my chest.i can't get rid of this headache. I'm having dizzy spells. I'm not getting any better hopefully someone can shed a lil light.

I also have pain in the neck area, starting from my head and continues to my shoulder that lasts for days, but I always thought is just the cold or sleeping for too long/short hours, is this can be serious?

I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Dizziness that comes with change of position could be due to postural hypotension (blood pressure falling with change of position), internal ear problems and cervical spondylitis or compression of cervical spinal nerves. All these cause dizziness when you get up from lying down position or when you change position that results in a change in the level of your head. Cervical spondylitis and ear problems also cause dizziness on changing the position of the neck. All these conditions can also cause headaches. However, since you have pain along shoulder and arm as well, cervical spondylitis and pinched nerve is most likely. Also, since pain travels along left arm, possibility of angina, and other heart related causes should also be looked into. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care!
