pain in the neck & jaw

I have been experiencing pain in my  jaw , when I open my mouth it hurts,I had an exray and nothing was found, then I had a car accident and experiencing pain in my neck ,I  can not turn my neck fully with out pain also in the middle of my back is always hurting.I went to chiropractor 6 times he cracked my neck and back , then he sent me to a pain manengent accupunture I do not think it helped much I am concerned about this, should I go to a orthopetic Dr or a nerologist. I have a brother who has problems with his neck & spinal cord etc he has had several serguries etc.Someone told me it  could be hereditary is it true ..................  I am just looking for   a  lil more advice thank you Joanne

The pain in your jaw from opening and shutting your mouth can be TMJ. The over-bite, under-bite,even a tilt in the upper area across the area of top of lip area or, and the bottom area bone can cause the jaw to slip in & out of place in the area the jaw bone connects to the skull. An oral surgeon can check for this problem. TMJ can be heredity.

You can go to a specialist in neck and spine. If you did damage to the neck they may not find it in xrays, but it can be found in MRI. My neck was injured while being intubated for surgery by pushing my head too far back.
