Hi!
Pain under the left shoulder blade is usually a referred pain from abdomen like stomach ulcers, acidity, pancreatitis or from the chest like in heart attack, pericarditis, pleuritis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, and aortic dissection. Since you have Grave’s disease, it can also be a joint related pain. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

It's possible I guess, but I've never heard of  a link between Graves and shoulder blade pain, I was diagnosed with it in 2001.I have heard there's a link between Graves, RA and joint pain. They can test for RA. I had severe chest pain prior to being diagnosed with Graves, but that was from my heart beating too fast.

I have severe burning in left shoulder blade too, but I'm almost positive it's related to my neck and upper back problems. Do you have neck, upper back or shoulder problems. Are you on Meds for your Graves or did you do the Radioactive Iodine business?
