shoulder pain

I have had minor pain in my shoulder area for the past 30 years. It would come and go not causing me any concern. The past 3 weeks though I have had severe pain above my right scapula area going down my right bicept and tricept area sometimes causing my hand to tingle. Any help for the pain?

first of all,I don't think this problem be caused by a pinched nerve.
secondly,see reputable medical acupuncturist.
by the way,I'm only registered acupuncturist (UK),not Doctor (only MD in China hospital)
Take care!

I have been a construction electrician all of my life and have and still being involved in heavy work. For the past 2 weeks the pain in my shoulder has been intense. When I try to sleep at night i can only go into 1 position which will ease the pain. Every time I move the pain will wake me up.  I have a DRs appt. in 2 weeks that is the soonest i can get in.  OTC drugs do not work at all. Creams do not work either. Is there any thing I can do for the pain in the mean time?
I am loosing a lot of sleep and this is effecting my concentration and work habits.

Hi,As chronic soft tissue damage (30 years),Tissue inflammation around scapula can lead to conduct pain in bicept and tricept, referral pain to hand.
Deep tissue massage and intensive acupuncture can help.
Good luck!
