Just saw a new post in the Chiari forum and one member has a stitch that was to dissolve pop out a yr post op...so it all depends on how ur body helps to break down the stitches.....

I really feel those with EDS have a harder time with these type  of closures and y they tend to use glue and sterri strips instead....if u have not been tested for EDS and it is well past the 2 week mark u may want to.

Hi,  I did respond to this on the Chiari forum, and that is where u will get more replies...I did not have stitches or staples following my chiari surgery, I had sterri strips and glue ...and I would think that the dis-solvable ones should be gone around the time they remove the staples and stitches, many times they may leave them in longer depending on how u r healing, but I am going to est, around 2 weeks.
