what's wrong with me?

It woke up one morning and thought I had a stiff neck from sleeping on a bad pillow, perhaps. It evolved during the day and by evening I was having terrible pain in my upper back notably between my shoulder blades, and I couldn't move my neck back. I couldn't move at all without terrible pain.
My situation has evolved over three days to be a terrible pain underneath my left shoulder blade, a stiff neck, and now it feels like a lump in my throat with a need to burp that I can't get out. As the burping sensation increases it produces a terrible pain in my chest and radiates to my back, then goes away when the burping sensation subsides.
Sneezing also puts a strain in all the painful areas mentioned.
Please help. It's debilitating

Hi there, I often get neck and upper back pain, which usually goes away within a week. I've been to the doctors numerous times and you'd be amazed how many muscles are connected to one another in the neck and back. Painkillers usually help me. But if you're pain is that severe, I'd definetly go to your doctor.

Pain that gets worse with sneezing and/or coughing could be due to a herniated disk. You could have also pulled a muscle. Usually if your neck hurts from sleeping wrong it will slowly loosen up over a few days. If it's not getting any better, I would go to your doctor and get an MRI to see if everything in your spine is ok.
