Bad neck/skull pain, help?

I'm a 20 year old healthy female. But for the past year or so i've been having on/off problems with my upper left back/neck. It all started when i woke up with bad neck pain, i have had physio (sp?) which helped at the time, now i do pilates.
But i've started to noticed that when it comes i also get bad lower left skull pain that goes up parrell to my left ear which is very painful. But i've also had it without the neck pain. When i move my head my upper left neck area really hurts and feels very stiff. I thought at first it was a nerve problem but now i'm not so sure. I also get bad ear/sinus problems which make it worse. My skull in that area when i touch it also hurts, it feels tender.
Is skull pain in this area quite common with neck pain? I'm really worried, my brain is trying to convince me i have a brain tumor.

Ooo, i've never heard of 'forward head syndrome' what is it?

& Thanks! Yes, it's awful, especially being young, but i spose i could do with being a bit more fit, probably why my muscle's are so stiff.

Hi, om sorry for your pain, I know that kind of pain is horrendous to live with!!  I experience similar pains right in the middle of neck neck right where my neck attaches to the base of my skull but its because I have what's called "forward head syndrome". I see a chiro for this. I wish u the best:)
