Lower Back Pain

About 2 years ago I broke my coccyx. Was perscribed Percocet for the pain, the pain never went away, got worse. I had several xrays that said it was healed. The ONLY time it feels better, even taking lortabs or percocet, is when I lay flat and shift my hips from side to side and I pop my back. Done a little research and was wondering if maybe it could be the S.I. Joint???? Also, was wondering if there's a better medication I could take. Also take Alieve...

This type of injury takes forever to recover from and often causes the chronic pain you're experiencing. Its possible it could be your SI joint, what kind of condition is the rest of your lumbar spine in? The reason I ask is because a problem at L5/S1 can refers pain to the coccyx as well.

Regardless of the source, one thing I have heard that is very effective for this type of pain is injections, I surprised your Doctor hasn't suggested them.
