Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear about your pain.  I underestimated how severe this condition can become. I will tell my friend right away.  God bless you and thanks!

Yes he should see a Neuro. I have a pinched nerve in my neck as well C5.Believe me,it only gets worse. Well, in my case it did. Make sure to get 2 or 3 opinions. I am disabled now. In the bed most of the day. I am driven so I do hurt myself.I can't help doing something,it makes me feel alive. My Neuro told me I needed a C5 diskectomy or I could wind up in wheelchair. Well, I can walk some but some days I can't at all.It is so frustrating. I wish you the best. I will keep you in my prayers.
Anyway, Search for a good Neuro that at least can have a good bed side manner to tell you what exactly is going on.I will be here as well as other good folks to help you along. I love this place. It's so helpful and informative. I just found it and I am so glad.

Best wishes and let God watch over you........K

I have a friend who believes he has a pinched nerve in the area of his right shoulder blade which makes it difficult for him to lift his arm up or pick up things.  Sometimes the pain is so bad, that he can't sleep.  He has only seen his primary physician (general medicine) who has prescribed high dosages of Ibuprofen as well as other analgesics and anti-inflammatories -- no relief.  I am trying to convince him to see a specialist (neurologist) that knows more about diagnosing this condition...Am I doing the right thing?  Do you have any helpful personal experience you can share?
