Swalled a roach and it hurts!

I was getting a drink when I got back home and it was dark. I got a cup and briefly washed it off before filling with juice. I began to drink and felt something in my drink, only to see a couple roaches in my juice. I realized I was beginning to swallow one and in panic, I choked on it. After the choking cleared, I began to realize the the roach was still in my neck somewhere!

I can't tell if it's still alive, but I think it is and it's definitely causing some aching, irritations, and pains in my neck. I've done some looking around and it seems it stuck not in my Esophagus, but perhaps my trachea or epiglottis(?)

Obviously I have to go see a doctor before my condition worsens, but is there anything I can do to soften any damage this may cause me until I can reach a doctor?

Oh and I am sure it is most probably dead.

If you truly have a roach stuck in your throat, you should go to your regular physician, if this is impossible, I would suggest a clinic or the ER. Good luck.

And will I need surgery to get this fixed? How much does surgery usually cost?
