C5 C6 Bulging

.Ortho  ordered a MRI on my neck,i just received report from my GP,i dont get to see my orthopedic for a few weeks,Please tell me what i can expect to hear from my ortho, this is the report**I have constant pain right side neck, shoulder, leg, back
**on the axial images,at the C2-C3 level there was very mild bulging of the disc annulus but, there was no evidence of focal disc herniation or spinal stenosis nor any evidenceof significant neural exit foraminal stenosis.
At the C3-C4 level there was slightly more pronounced bulging of the disc annulus which was more pronounced centrally. There was mild to moderately severe bilateral neural exit foraminal stenosis which appeared to be due to primarily to hypertrophic bony osteophyte encroachment.
C4-C5 more pronounced bulging of the disc annulus which was more pronounced centrally and it was borderingon a small central disc protrusion. This however did not cause any significant spinal stenosis,There was mild to moderately severe bilateral neural exit foramina stenosis which appeared to be due to hypertrophic bony osteophyte encroachment.
C5-C6 there was much more promident bulging of the disc annulus bordering on a broad based disc protrusion. This caused MODERATELY SEVERE SPINAL STENOSIS as there was loss of most of the CSF signal surrounding the cord at this level, this did not however appear to cause any significant distortion or compression of the cord shap and there was no sign ofs of inherent cord abnormality.
there was at C5-C6 as well quite PRONOUNCED and MODERATELY SEVERE to SEVERE BILATERAL NEURAL EXIT FORAMINAL STENOSIS due to encroachment by both the bulging disc annulus as well as hypertrophic body osteophytes
THANK YOU!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dea Friend,
You have a genuine disc problem, which is due to many reasons, like disc prolapse as well as bony growth, called as osteophytes, which are as a result of degeneration. These all factors are causing neural compromise, which can result into many symptoms like numbness, weakness, loss of muscle power of the upper limbs as well as the neck region and fingers.
So would suggest you to meet a good orthopaedian or a neurosurgeon, to formulate further course of action. Also a good physiotherapist would be able to help you, as he would be suggesting exercises, which would be aiming at increasing the muscle mass.
As a normal protocol, improvement in condition within 6 weeks is considered good, where as no improvent sugests operative intervention.
Please discuss, once your local appointment is over.
Regards.

Seen orthopaedian today and have been referred to a neurologists(expect call within a couple day,s) to do tests that will be sent to one of the best neurosurgeons in the area to follow up with course of action?
orthopaedic thinks surgery will be the outcome. He was very sympathetic to the pain i must have been expieriencing for the last couple of years! was given pain med,s and also suggested a soft neck brace..
