Anyone want to talk about something positive?

So I understand that we talk and ask about things on here when we're down or at our wits end with mania but dies anyone have anything positive they want to talk about on here that happened either today or this week?... For example: Even though I've gained over 20lbs I had my first good experience shopping for new clothes and I'm now embracing my new figure instead of being more depressed about it... Hope to hear some great things back!!!

Had an awesome Valentine's Day surprise from my husband this morning... Flowers, a sweet card and chocolates!!! I'm lucky to have such an amazing man who loves me and accepts me with all of my flaws and reminds me of all of my great qualities =-). I'm extremely grateful for my husband and my children... Can honestly say I feel like one of the luckiest woman in the world! Have a great day everyone!

I want to "like" everybody's post but it's not giving me the option, so I will just say "Yay!" for everybody. All those kg is good, and a new bed is good (I've been through the bad bed cycle myself), and everything else is good.

How very nice to hear good, happy things! Because in the real world, outside the MH world, there are tons of good things. How about this: You and an insect (a bee) have the same esthetic sense - you both go for flowers.

And if you don't, well, phooey to you. Go look at some, comprehend the symmetry - bilateral, 3-way, 4-way, 5-way, 6-way, 8-way - or go to a vacant lot and look at the tiny wildflowers you need a magnifying glass for. Depending on your hemisphere and latitude this may be the time or you may have to wait.

Leaves are great, too. Why is the pattern of veins in leaves similar to the pattern of branches in trees?

Hell1971 is better! Hooray!

I'm over a brief depression.

We have plenty of toilet paper. That's security.

Plenty of yarn for these projects.

Learned to use Pandora.

ILADVOCATE I hope you get out to the museums soon... Funny how things like that can bring us such joy and comfort. Also congrats having a productive talk with you psychiatrist and finally evening out on your moods... Hope you continue to remain in a stable state.
Amy4891  congrats on making it out of your manic state in one piece and spending time with your kids I know that sometimes in our times of craziness our children are the only thing keeping us from completely falling off the deep end. And good luck bringing your creative ideas to life hope it goes well!
All of the posts are very encouraging and I hope they continue to come in! Once again keep up the great work on remaining positive and always remember that it's easy to get caught up in the negative but it takes strength and heart to find the positive.

I just came out of a first manic episode. It was an interesting experiance to say the least. I think there can be some positive things that come out of what seems to be bad experiances. I did finnaly get someone to listen to me about my symptoms and get treated for them. I had so many creative ideas from my manic episode. Everyone is encouraging me to put them to good use...so to speak. I am still a little fuzzy right now though. I feel like the whole thing is strange, but I think once I get more stabalized I will try to make some of mycreative ideas realities. I went shopping today and got my kiddos some clothes and got them both a valentines gift. That is the highlight of my day. I love my kids and love being a mother. I love taking care of them. :-)

Yes I had a good conversation with my psychiatrist today and some of the difficulties that occurred before because I was manic have been evened out. A family member of mine is taking a more positive approach to starting treatment. Also they are continuing to work with me as regards my accommodations. Last  week I was finally able to take the train again to see some museums on my own which I hadn't been able to in a long time and although this week with the snow predicted I wont be able to I hope to again once the weather warms up. Things are progressing as regards recovery. Thanks. I think this is a good idea for a thread.

I found out today that my new bed is coming in 2 weeks earlier than I was expecting. I am really looking forward to it. It comes in on Thursday. My husband is currently sleeping on the single bed in our guest room because the bed is so bad. It will be nice to share a bed again. I don't sleep as well if he isn't next to me.

Enjoy the new clothes. I bet you look FABULOUS!
