Could I be Biploar? Or something else?

Well I was curious to find any medical terms or get some feedback to understand things further. The reason being is because sometimes (kinda quite often) I get mood swings where one minute I'm happy and the next I'm angry, I get irritated very easily, sometimes I wake up angry, sometimes anything said or done just irritates me and really makes me angry. But I'm not always angry, when I'm not angry I'm a very silly, joking, and a playful person. It's hard for me to stay focused on one thing I'm always rushing into something else, i jump from subject to subject, or sometimes my mind is blank & I can space-out. Anyways, I think the anger symptoms could have been triggered because of the years i've been depressed, and I'm still depressed but not as extreme as before. I took quizzes on Bipolar (manic depression) and it said that I may have it, but i'm curious as to what someone has to say about it.

I think a big thing to remember is that bipolar is not just about mood. There are other symptoms rather than happy/sad/angry changes. Some of these big symptoms you need to watch for are racing thoughts, grandios thinking, making lots of plans that never go anywhere, risk taking behaviors (drinking too much, gambling, spending sprees, promiscuity,) suicidal ideation, rapid or pressured speech, etc.

It would be best to keep a mood tracker and bring up your concerns with your doctor and to schedule with a psychiatrist. A good mood tracker and journal can help you remember things that happened you might forget to mention to your doctor otherwise.

Yes many of these quizzes are inaccurate and its best to discuss this with a psychiatrist before making decisions but as for informational purposes they are some helpful websites:

However I can tell you from a consumer perspective some of what you describe sounds like rapid cycling (going from manic to depressed in an extremely short time) and irritability can often be part of bipolar and also in mixed states such as an agitated mixed state which has the down aspect of depression and the sped up quality of mania at the same time and makes a person appear angry at the world. I have experienced all this and have found mood stabilizers to be quite helpful but some are more effective on specific types of bipolar than others but you could discuss what is happening with a psychiatrist and then they could make a decision from there.
