I just started lamictal last week.  So far I have not had any problems, but I am being very careful about checking myself for rashes and trying to notice any other possible side effects.  I am on an orange starter pack and my psychiatrist asked to see me before he ups the dose next week.   Do you have an apointment set up so you can be monitered while starting the medicine?  Good luck!  I hope this medicine helps us both.

I take it and have no problems.  Works for me.

It is a step up.  I got a starter pack.  Do not work up faster than you are supposed to.
You need to watch out for a rash on your TORSO.  That is an allergic reaction.

Lamictal is a weight neutral med. It also is good for treating migraines.

I was on 200 mg daily but at last visit was upped to 300 mg.

Remember:  Different meds + different ppl = different side effects.

If this med doesn't work for YOU.  there are so many out there.  Tell your Dr. all and any reasosn why you think you this med is causing you to not feel right and see if you should switch.

Remember it takes most meds 4-6 weeks to work.  Unless you are getting MAJOR side effects, ride out the minor ones and give it a chance.

Good luck.

Hello teashop. I have been on Lamictal for a few years and have had no problems with it. I presently take 150mg 2 times daily. However, there are many different meds out there if this one doesn''t help, but give yourself a chance on it.
