Tried everything and nothing helps

I have been going to a Physiologist for 3 years now and have tried almost every depression, bipolar or mood-stabilizing drug out there.  We have now found that Adderall and Concerta seem to help the best and I have been on them for a few years now.  I still feel like I need something else to help.  Geodon was the best medication I had tried but the side affects out weighed the benefits.  I have also been looked at for Lupus and have seen a sleep specialist and have not helped.  What else can I try to help with these mood swings and behavior?  The only things I have not taken are MAOI’s and Lithium, would these be any more affective?

Pleas dont take the litium unless it is a last resort.it damages the thyroid and other organs.
I take celexa and zyprexa and it has been wonderful for me.No more bi polar ups and downs and I respond normally.I still get sad ,happy and all the emotions in between but I am normal and I dont dweel on the bad things like I used to.Geekchic is right about the eating well. exercise too like brisk walking.Keep me posted on how you are.

Lithium was no good for me at all. not only did I gain weight it also affected my female problems ( polycystic ovarian syndrome which is basically the way my ovaries use insulin) i am now insulin resistant. have you tried Lamictal, I have tried alot of diffrent meds as well ( respirdol, buspar, wellbutrin, paxil, dapakote, lithium, seraquel, just to name a few) but have found Limictal to help the best. I still have some mood swings, and the depression is there on the edges, but it works the best of anything I have tried before and I DO NOT FEEL LIKE A ZOMBIE!!!!!!! which is real important to me. let me know what you try and how it works for you.

How's your diet? I've been reading "Eat Right for Your Type" and my mood has been getting so much better -- less mood swings, more feeling good. All you need to know is your blood type, which a doctor can do with a simple test. It presents a diet plan, supplements, and an exercise regimen based on your type, as well as scientific evidence backing its claims. I was very impressed by it, because I had been learning on my own that a high-protein, low-carb diet is best for me. It not only confirmed what I was feeling, it took the guesswork out of a lot of my problems and saved me a lot of time!

I've also learned on my own that sugar and saccharin (or was it aspertame?)  are very bad for me. They both wreck my mood.  So, try eliminating sweeteners from your diet and see how you feel.
