being on alot of meds

hey my diagnoses is bipolar depression i take 150 zoloft,50naltrexone,60mg inderol,trileptal 900,stelazine 6mg,cogentin 0.5 and strattera 120 mg is it safe to be on all these meds for this diagnoses my p doc says its okay i was just wondering if it's normal for someone with bipolar/depression to be on alot of meds like this

i've been on stelazine for about a year now along with the rest of the meds i started strattera about last month...i feel as if it's working im just wondering if the strattera will work

There is some controversy about using antidepressants such as Zoloft for someone with bipolar depression.  Have you consider Lamictal (lamotrigine) or Lithium?

Re: Straterra, there have been reports of Straterra causing mania.  Definitely not a reason to stop abruptly, but something to discuss with your pdoc.  

Re: Stelazine, this medication is used for psychosis or short-term for anxiety.  How long have you been taking Stelazine?

Re: trileptal, there is limited data on effectiveness for bipolar.  If it's working for you, no reason to discontinue it, but there may be bettter options.
