bipolar and hallucinations coexist?

A friend of mine has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Can hallucinations be a part of the disorder? My friend believes that there is a game happening in a world that not all of us see, where people get killed by fighting for good or evil. He talks about telepathy and sometimes "proves his powers" by knowing what I am doing at a given moment without being able to see me or have other access to information about where I am and what I an doing.
Please answer to me if this kind of behavior could be explained as hallucination and if it can somehow be explained dy his disorder.
P.S. He takes no medication

OOPS!   Unmedicated bipolars have their biochemistry so out of wack that their brains process things in an unrealistic manner.  So hallucinations are very common.  Why does he not want meds?

I am Bipolar I rapid cycling, mixed state.  Does he by chance play video or computer games?  When I first started playing World of Warcraft and was manic, I would go out into public and could have sworn I was actually in the game.  I remember grocery shopping one day and I started following someone in front of me like I would follow other characters in the game and kind of spaced out, thinking we were on a quest.  Then I had to stop and realize I was imagining this (I think I was scaring people around me).  I also see "aura" around people.  So, bipolars are more sensitive to their environments and a computer game aggrivated my real life world.  Now I limit my playing time to avoid that weird sensation.  But then again, I am stable now!  Hope this helps!

Yes with Biopolar 2 or rapid cycle I have this but I have a really good intuition 2 so I dont know I just see lights around people allmost like an ora and I caan sence if someone is bad news when I meet them in person I just know it's really weird befor I got pregnant I knew It was going to happen and I just know it's twin's well I 'll find that out in a week or so but I just know does he also stay up for days I mean like 2 weeks with little to no sleep
