Antibiotics and depo?
So I've been on depo for 9.months now and got my renewal shot and antibiotics for 10 days on the same day, how long should I wait before having unprotected sex? How will they effect eachother????
I cannot take Rifampin because it contains Omnicef which I am allergic to, so I should be ok right?
Generally speaking, the vast majority of antibiotics do not affect the effectiveness of any form of hormonal birth control. This includes Depo Provera. The major exception to this is the antibiotic Rifampin which is used for tuberculosis among other things.
