If a woman experiences spotting or breakthrough bleeding it is advised to continue on the same regimen. This bleeding may be transient but if it is persistent or prolonged bleeding, it is advised to consult the physician. Heavy bleeding can lead to weakness, anemia and low blood pressure. It is best to discuss your concerns with your gynecologist. You may need to get a thorough evaluation done before deciding whether this pill has to be taken or an alternative pill should be advised.
