Birth control giving me excessive discharge, should I switch?

I am currently taking Tri-Sprintec, and a week before and after my period I do not have discharge. However, the other two weeks, I have excessive discharge daily. I've talked to my MD about it and she thinks that since I don't have any other crazy side effects or issues besides the discharge, then I should basically deal with it. Because If I go onto another birth control I might have worse side effects etc. But I'm just tired of dealing with discharge for 2 weeks, should I switch to another birth control? Is there another birth control that does not give you excessive discharge?

I forgot to mention it is white discharge that ranges from thin to thick, no smell, no itch.
