You might have fibroids, based on how badly you're hemorrhaging. Get yourself to the ER for an ultrasound and to check your iron levels because when you bleed so heavy, you are losing a lot of blood. And you may need transfusions. I wouldn't wait, I would go immediately if I were you.
Hello,
It is common to experience menstrual irregularities while on depo and even after stopping it. It may take 2-3 months for your periods to regularize. Regarding ovulation most women start to ovulate five to six months after the last injection but it may take 10-15 months to conceive. If you are not ovulating regularly you may continue having menstrual irregularities. Heavy periods can be due to hormonal imbalances, cervical or endometrial polyps, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, fibroids, underactive thyroid disease, PCOD etc. You may need tests like pelvic scan, pap smear and hormonal assay .A clinical examination and evaluation is important for detecting the exact cause of your symptoms .Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. Do consult a gynecologist. Hope it helped.
Best luck and regards!
