Can I get pregnant on the pill?
Hi,
My period is 7 days late. I got bad cramps and bloating when it was due for about 5 days, but nothing. I am on the pill, so I don't think I could get pregnant. I don't always take the pill at the same time, and I've occasionally missed one, but taken two the next day. I usually cut out the sugar pills 2-3 times to stop period, before eventually having one. This time, I cut it out for 4 months, and then I haven't got one. One other time I di this I got my period 3 days later, but this is now the 7th day, and I'm a bit concerned. I did a home pregnancy test this morning, and it was negative. If I'm not pregnant, what could be the reason for my missed period?

yes u can get prego on the pill.... i am a mother of three and i got pregnant with my first two children on the depo shot!! bc is only about 99.9% accurate, so there is always a chance!! if u are pregnant it might just be to early to show up on the test

Has ANYONE out there had a late period, thought they were pregnant, had a negative urine and blood test, but still been pregnant???? Is this possible?
Is my period late for other reasons, are the symptoms I am having just a phantom????
I think I should just accept the fact that I am not pregnant, and wait until my next period is due, and for my gyno appointment next month.....

Well, I just rang the doctor's, and she said the test was negative.........
In all honesty, I am slightly relieved, but slightly dissapointed. Part of me was actually hoping I was. Even though it would have been a big life change, it's something I think we could have handled, as we love each other so much, and do want to have children one day and spend the rest of our lives together.
I would have cried if she said I was, but I also feel like crying now........ :-(

I often think about my age and the fact that I should hurry up and start a family, however, we are not quite ready to start. So, if I am pregnant, it would definately be unplanned. I did not do what I did with the pill in the hope to get pregnant, it was stupid of me, but I just never really thought there was a possibility to get prego doing what I do, I never really thought about it......
I find out the results from the doctor in half an hour, and I'm quite nervous, I must say. But I fully expect the results to be negative...................

i have had a couple of my friends get prego on the pill doing the same thing u are doing... if u are wanting to get pregnant why dont u stop taking it??
My first daughter was conceved and I was doing what you explained not taking it at the same time and missing one...I would take another test in a week if you don't start

I went to doctors today, and had test, get results back tomorrow. :-(
She said it could be just the fact that I didn't have a period this month. She also said it is not good how most days I take tablet at the same time every morning, but on the odd occasion have forgotten and taken it that night........
I forgot to tell her I did a test at home and that is was negative, DUH!!! However, I have read that many others have done that, and then done another one, or had blood test and it has been positive. Did you do home tests? If so, did they show positive straight away?

I would love to have a baby, as i am 37 years old, however, my boyfriend is younger than me, and I'm not sure he's ready....
I will tell my doctor when I go on Thursday, and I guess she'll do a pregnancy test.
I have other girl issues, so I'm hoping I have nothing seriously wrong.
