Can I take the mini pill early?

I have just been prescribed the contraceptive pill Cerazette (mini pill). I was told that I should start taking it after my next period. I'm around mid cycle now, due on again on the 8th of October so would probably take my first tablet around the 15th. However I have just booked a vacation from the 4th to the 11th of October. I would like to be covered by the pill during this time and if possible miss my next period. Could I start taking the pill now or would it cause any adverse affects? Would I be covered? Thanks in advance.
