Delaying my period next month with BC

I have been off birth control for a few months. I am scheduled to start my period this weekend (I'm having tender breasts, typical signs, etc.). I am wanting to go back on birth control to delay my period for next month to either have it completed before the 13th or have it start after 21st as I'll be out of town with my boyfriend who has been on a Military Base.

I'm wondering what the best possibility of doing this will be.

Thanks for your help!

I placed a call to my OBG but haven't heard anything back. What if this Sunday (regardless of if I get my period or not) I started back on birth control and continued to take the active pills, then skipping the non-active.

You're right, I don't want to mess anything up in my body. I've actually never done this before, so I'm slightly afraid. I also know my boyfriend tried what he could to change his week off, but it wasn't able to happen. I just want to make the week special since we only see each other about 2-3 times a year.

Thanks for the help!

It will most likely not work since u haven't been on it for a few months now. I tried doing this when i first started the pill and i not only got my period for the time i didn't want to have it but i ended up having it for an entire 30 days until i could start my new pack of pills.

It's not going to hurt u if u try it but fyi - that it might not work the way u want it to.

Your best bet is to ask your OB so as not to mess with your cycle if it's not good for you; it varies per individual. Best of luck.
