Depo - never bled before

I've been on depo for over 4 years now.  I did take a short break this past fall, to get my body back on track.  Once I had one period, I got back on the shot.  I had never had any spotting, cramping, or periods while on for the past 4 years.  I just got my shot on April 16th 2010.  I have been sexually active, and last weekend May 2nd I was intimate with a friend.  We were not protected, and we were rather rough.  It's now May 10th and I just started bleeding today, with some moderate crapms.  I don't know what this means, because I was never spotty throughout the 4 years of being on depo.  Is it possible he damaged something or hurt my cervix?  I need some reasurrance, or maybe a gentle kick to go to the doctor.

I have cramping, which I have never had before. I don't know exactly where to describe it but its in the pelvic region.  I mean I've felt really sharp ones inside my vagina last night, and then I noticed I started bleeding again.  While I'm sitting here I'm having cramps, and they are down in the pelvic almost groin area.  I'm going to take a home prego test, atleast get that question out of the way.  One of girl friends said I could be aborting, I doubt it because there would be alot of blood.

The shot can change up from time to time. Because you took a short break, your body has to be re-adjusted to the shot again. Just because you never bled before, doesn't mean it will always be like that. I doubt the bleeding on May 10 is from the sex on May 2. If that was the case, Id say you probably should of started bleeding sooner. Do you have any pain in the vagina or cervix? I would say its just your body adjusting to the depo.
