Hormonal Imbalance from Plan B: One Step

My girlfriend took this pill one time on March 31st. She later received a very heavy period April 12th that lasted for 8 days but no cramps that she normally has. Then later that month she had all kinds of pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness two day in a row, mood changes, emotional, abdominal pain, acne, tender nipples, pretty much had it all. This obviously freaked us both out thinking that she was pregnant so we got a HPT and it turned out negative then the day after she received her period May 13th and again seeming pretty heavy. She always is having terrible mood swings, cramps, back pain, and super emotional.

That would mean no pregnancy so what I am thinking is that she is having a hormonal imbalance from Plan B. Maybe her body just isn't taking it well at all. I also want to mention that this was her first ever form of Birth Control or Contraception and she is only 17.

But how long do think it will take to balance out and for her to not have such strong side effects?
What can we do to get them to balance out faster?

When I had plan b I had a big hormone imbalance too, and it lasted for a couple of weeks after my period came. After taking the morning after pill, periods after will still seem pretty odd as it can take your body a while to get back to its old self. Nothing you can do to speed up her recovery really, just relax and chill out. Nothing to stress over.

yes I will recommend you to take a ultrasound pregnancy test it will show that your ovary is a little bigger but pay attention to that you MUST NOT seen any kind of fetus in your ultrasound test.if you dont see any fetus but your ovary is a little bigger and you didn't have sex after plan b be sure these are about to the pill but really avoid the pregnancy test (any kind) because it show positive but you are not pregnant so just ultrasound

I had unprotected anal sex for the first time in June around the 21st, again Wednesday June 26 around 6pm and my boyfriend did not finish, but just in case I took the plan B pill around June 28th 10.30am and since then I had my period in July and then a short one after. I have also had a period last week that was heavy the first few days, stopped on the saturday then continued on the sunday, ending on the monday night. A short while after the two periods I experienced conctipation and a sore back. I still have a sore back even after having 2/3 periods. My breasts do not feel too sore. I sometimes have bleeding gums and I have felt very very nauseaus around 2 weeks ago however thought I had just ate too much, and the only time I feel sick is if I am worrying that I am pregnant which is a lot, however I am never sick. I am so scared that I am pregnant I am 15, is the sore mid/lower back a sign of pregnancy or just a side effect to plan b? please please help x

you can't get pregnant from anal sex. If you don't know that much you shouldn't be having sex

Yea she gets her period every month but she said shes not wanting to tell her mom about going to the doctor and stuff unless next period is really heavy too. Her mom cant really know that she took plan b but what all could she have? why would she need a pap smear? I thought this was normal just take some time to balance out her hormones?
