Hot Flashes on Depo?

Has anyone experinced hot flashed and red skin on their chest, neck, and/or face while being on the depo?  Also, i have been on it for almost 7 years and my body just hurts.  My knees have bone on the knee cap, my lower back kills me and i am stiff all the time.  I have also gained about 40lbs since i started it and can't get rid of it!  I have tried and i watch what i eat.  I don't plan on getting the shot again after reading some of these blogs but could the depo be the cause of my aging body?  If so, what other for of birth control would be good for me?  P.S. i could never remember to take a pill every day.

My body hurt too.  I was on Depo for 8 years.  I too got the hot flushes.  Turned out I was in a chemically induced state of menopause.  Go to the Dr and get treated.  It will take months for your body to recover but get started now.
