IUD non hormonal

i had a iud fitted last year to a non hormonal one and was going really well but the last 4 months i have been having a period every 2 weeks i went to see my gyno and she said it might not be agreeing with my body and maybe change it to another one i need advice as im going on holiday last 2 weeks of july and want it sorted by then as some times i bleed for 10 days i feel very tired because of having a period every 2 weeks and i suffer with endometriosis i can't have the marina one and can't take the pill so contraception for is limited any advice i would be so grateful thank you

If you can't take hormone-containing IUDs, it sounds like you might have to try something completely different because I think the non-hormonal IUDs are prone to cause increased bleeding. Have you talked with your doctor about the birth control ring? It's similar to birth control pills, but because it is places in the vagina, the hormones don't wind up being quite as systemic as they are with the pill. I'm not sure about how it interacts with endometriosis, but you might ask about that one. Good luck!
