IUD pregnancy

I had a copper IUD placed in October. Since then, I have had consistent spotting. The blood is brown and I am not sure if is even blood or discharge. I haven't had a normal (like before I was on the pill or on the pill) since I had it inserted, so I am not sure if my cycle is normal. Recently I have been gaining weight and my lower abdomen feels achy and hard. could I be pregnant?

Thanks for your help. I don't think its constipation because BMs have been regular. Also, when I press lightly on the area, I feel pressure where I usually feel ovulation and down into my vagina.

I don't think you should feel like your abdomen is achy and hard.  That sounds like constipation.  I bled heavily for the first year with my copper IUD.  But I was able to keep it 5 years.  After that it moved and caused pain.  I had it removed then.  I can't use hormones.

All of the symptoms you're talking about are pretty standard for a copper iud. Nothing unusual they're and not pregnancy related. The reason why I opted for mirena instead of the coppper was because of the problems tie having being associated with the copper one.
