Is nonstop bleeding normal after depo?

I had been on depo for 4 years after being diagnosed with ibd to help with the cramping and I actually loved being on it, no periods or anything, well my insurance got cancelled so I stopped seeing my doctor and missed my shots. After a year off it I got my first period which was light, then 2 weeks later I got a second period and now this one is going on a month of nonstop bleeding. The blood ranges from normal dark red to a bright orange, idk if this has happened to anyone else.
