I had this happen to me when I was on the Mini pill after my son.  I bled every 2 weeks (2 periods a month).  I got off the pills when my son was 9 months old because I couldn't afford them and it was really messing me up.  After my son turned 14 months old, I conceived twins...I blame it on the messed up hormones that those pills gave me.

I never bled with intercouse, but I did have 2 periods a month and my doctor had no answer for it.

Good luck

Hello,
Bleeding after intercourse is called post coital bleeding and bleeding in between the periods is called intermenstrual bleeding. In your case, I don’t think that the birth control pills are responsible for this. The cause is something different.

Post coital bleeding can be due to cervical pathology (dysplasia), sexually transmitted infections (chlamydia or gonorrhea), vaginitis, endometritis, uterine polyps, fibroids or cervical polyps. It can also be due to pelvic inflammatory disease, lichen sclerosis or various malignancies of the uterus or cervix.Intermenstrual bleeding is due to genital infections, cervical polyps, uterine fibroids, miscarriage after a pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, fluctuation in hormone levels,IUD(intrauterine device)use, use of anticoagulant drugs and hypothyroidism.

Please get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist as pelvic examination and investigations are required to confirm a diagnosis. Wet preps of vaginal discharge, cervical cultures, Pap smear, perspeculum examination and colposcopy are required to confirm the diagnosis. Heavy bleeding can lead to anemia (the reason for your tiredness)and chances of hemorrhagic shock. So please consult soon.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted in case you have any additional doubts. Warm regards.
