Sore Breasts

I'm 17, I'm sexually active, but I'm also on birth control. I've taken 6 tests in the past two months and they've all said negative, not to mention that I've gotten my period every month, so I don't believe I'm pregnant. I'm experiencing really sore nipples though, and I'm worried about it. Could there be a chance I am? Because I've been told that that's a main symptom. Please help!

Sore breasts are a common effect of the hormonal changes in one's cycle. It's annoying, but it's perfectly normal.

Thank you! I'm just very worried about the pregnancy thing. I know I'm in no position for a child, and I want to be smart about being sexually active with my boyfriend of over a year now. I'm going on ortho tricyclin this Friday (I'm unsure if I spelled that right). I want to be very careful with all this. It's extremely important to, I know that.

Sore breasts is also a common side effect of birth control.  It can also simply be caused by your cycle in general due to hormonal changes throughout.  I wouldn't worry about pregnancy unless you miss a period.
