Today I noticed my nipples were really dark almost a purple,, could this have something to do with the birth control?

Taking extra pills on a day after you've missed your daily pill will not make up for the days missed. You're basically back at the beginning and have to do another cycle of a month before the pill can be 100% effective again.
Alos, some antibiotics have been found to neutralize the effects of birth control.
In any case, you should stop taking the pill right away and go to your doctor in case you are pregnant.
Hope I helped!
