almost 3 months without period but not sexually active

Yea, it's been bothering me a lot. I'm 15 years old and I first started my period when I was 11. My periods usually are irregular. My last period was December 26th '09 and even then it was 10 days late due to stress. Now it's March 22nd '10 and I'm just wondering if it could be still due to stress. My grandpa hasn't been very sick and things aren't looking good, plus school has been taking a huge toll on me. I do have a boyfriend but we don't have sex or anything of the sort. But luckily recently I haven't been feeling as stressed, and since yesterday I've been having mood swings, small cramps, and feeling very bloated. So I was just wondering if you guys think I should be worried or not. And if my period ends up not coming again, should I go to the doctor?

I agree with sweetpea, ninjapig... I also got my first period at 11 and by 15 I had to go on the Pill b/c I once didn't get it for over 6 months... which isn't good... birth control isn't just to stop pregnancies, but also to help regulate your period, so you can explain it like, just in case your parents freak or something (I don't know how yours are, but my step-dad didn't undertand and thought I was having or wanting to have sex)... remember that we mentruate to "clean out" our bodies (that's why I persoanlly didn't go with the needle, but talk to your doc about your options - there's LOTS now)

if you have gone longer than 3 months and no period, please go to the doctors. they'll give you something to start your periods again.
