birth control and yeast infection

Can taking Aleese and Miconazole (vaginal insertion for yeast infection) effect the effectiveness of the birth control pill?

Hi there!

Vaginal application of miconazole would have little systemic absorption and is unlikely to affect the BCP. Even with systemic absorption, it acts an enzyme inhibitor and would rather potentiate its action.
