concern

less than a minute

Okay I'm 20 years old & me & my boyfriend decided it was time we start ttc so I calculated my periods & ovulation days. Okay my concern is the Beginning of my last period was Nov. 9 & it ended Nov. 14 so this Month (Dec) my period was supposed to come on Dec. 7 which is on Saturday, but it ended up coming 2 days early on a Thursday & I wasn't bleeding I just was spotting light red for 3 days then nothing. Now its Dec 22 & I still haven't gotten a period its 15 days late. Now me & my boyfriend had sex a few hours ago & when I went to use the bathroom I wiped & there was light blood kinda like orange red then nothing. Idk what this could be I feel like I'm not pregnant because you don't bleed when your pregnant like at all I just need some answers please

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You need a thorough evaluation for your condition. Bleeding in between periods and irregular periods can be due to several causes. The commonest cause of is hormonal imbalance and pregnancy. The two hormones regulating a woman’s cycle are estrogen and progesterone. If they get out of balance, one may have spotting. Pelvic inflammatory disease, STIs, implantation bleeding, atrophic vaginitis, cervical or endometrial polyps, cervical erosions are few common causes of bleeding in between periods. Delayed periods can be due to ovulation dysfunction, thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalances etc. Depending on your detailed symptoms and medical history your doctor may recommend a pelvic examination and other tests .Only after a detailed clinical evaluation the cause can be determined. Hope it really helps. Do keep us posted.
Take care and regards!
