help me please i want to have a baby

I wanted to start taking birth control because everyone say it can shorten your period so i went to the doctor and asked them about birth control. So we went over all the different kindof birth control there was, so she asked me if i wanted to take the pills or the shot. I said shot because i know i would forget to take the pill every time. So she gave me the shot and i was on it for 6 months. So durning those 6 months time my boyfriend and i decieded we wanted a baby so i stop taking it so we could have a baby. Now its almost been a year and im still not pregnant please tell me what can i do to have this baby.i see my period and everything and my period is last for 6 days so why cant i get pregnant?

Hi-  I suggest you have your boyfriend see his doctor to make sure his sperm are okay.  it is very common for the man to be the one to have an issue and sometimes that can be resolved quite easily.  Good luck!
