tried to skip period with birth control

Im on ortho lo and i tried to skip my period by skipping the placebo pills and going straight to a new pack. Apparently those are the wrong kind of pills to try and manipulate your period with. Im on day 4 of the new pack but my period came on day 2. Do I stop taking the pills for a few days and then start them again, or keep taking them?

Hey! I just did the exact same thing on the exact same pill as you, mine didnt work either. Yeah apparently to skip on this pill, we need to take week 3 of a new and it will hold it off for another week, and it's not guaranteed to work. Also, it only holds it off for a week if I'm understanding correctly. Unfortunately my doc doesnt want to change what I'm on because it helps control my ovarian cysts. Hope this helped. Good luck!

Hiiii,
Sometimes it may be risky. Well safe option is to stop the pills presently and start them with the new cycle. That should solve the confusion and do a safe sex by asking the male counter-part to follow contraception.
