Weight gain after birth control.

Hi, this is going to be long so please bare with me.  I am almost 24 and I have been off of birth control for about 2 1/2 years now.  I was on it about 4 years prior and decided to give my body a break.  I had normal weight on birth control, 127lbs, I have always been thin.  I went off Yaz and started to notice weight gain after a few months, in about 2 years I gained a little over 40 lbs.  I am absolutely miserable.  I've tried dieting, exercising, and nothing has happened.  I don't fit into any clothes, I hate my body and I have no idea what else to do.  I had my hormone levels tested and my testosterone is a little high (45pg/ml).  My estrogen levels aren't, could have been due to the fact that my periods are irregular and I also now have heavy periods, therefore I wasn't put on estrogen/progesterone.  I'm also bloated, constipated all the time so I take buffered c and probiotics to help.  I don't have any idea what to do about it because I have tried to do everything.  My mother had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done because she suffers from the same symptoms, and both came back fine.  She has IBS, I've never been diagnosed but I have pretty much the same symptoms.  I just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about this and possibly what could help.  I don't want to live like this anymore.

I figure that's what I'm going to have to do.  I tried a different birth control after awhile to see if it would help me lose the weight but it didn't.  My yearly will be up soon for the gyno so I'll ask them what they think.

I believe it was Yaz that my friend took.  She had to get off it because it caused a cyst on her pituitary gland that caused her to put on A LOT of weight she can't get off.  I'd get a check-up and mention this issue and what you've done to try to lose weight and how long, etc.

Also wanted to add that I suffer from Acne, although that isn't one of my concerns at the moment it is a symptom I have.
