birth control pregnancy

I've been on the pill for about five years now and take it religiously at the same time and everything. My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex and he hasn't been pulling out. I wasn't super worried about getting pregnant because I'm so good about taking my pill; and since I have endometriosis and a history of ovarian cysts, I figured those three things would make it pretty impossible for me to conceive at this time. I'm not panicking right now or anything, but my period this month was very light and usually I get really bad cramps, but they weren't comparable this month to what they usually are. I've heard stories about women getting pregnant on b.c.and not knowing bebecause they still got their periods and that scares the **** out of me. Has that happened to anyone? If so what were your symptoms if any?

I actually did have bleeding with my first for the first two months of being pregnant.  I thought I had my period. Needless to say, I was wrong.

The BC won't affect your pregnancy test. And I just woke up one morning throwing up and could tell something was different so I went and took one!

Also, if I took a pregnancy test, is it true that because I'm on birth control the results would be skewed because of that?

Thanks for replying, everyone.Do you guys think the pill would cause my body to bleed lightly during the time of my period even if I was pregnant? Has anyone experienced that?

I was on the pill for about 8 years. Took it religiously. I ended up pregnant with my first (born May 2014) started taking bc again afterwards and I was breastfeeding. I ended up pregnant again. (Now 16 weeks) let me say, I too have only one ovary and the other is tact. Doctors dont have a clue. They say my husband has power swimmers.haha so it all depends

I have endometriosis as well. My husband and I have been trying for 3 years and just now got pregnant, had a miscarriage, and I'm pregnant again. The only way to tell for sure if you're pregnant is to take a pregnancy test! And I'm so positive then quit the BC  ASAP
