Not producing blood

About a year ago my grandma went to the doctors and her blood count was really low and thought she was losing blood.  After many test and procedures they did not find any bleeding. They did however find the beginning stages of ovarian cancer. She finished her chemo successfully but is still getting blood transfusions about once a week. She has had three bone marrow samples done for different testing with no answers. What might be going on?

Doubt you'll get any answers on the web better than your medical advice.  Chemo will reduce the body's ability to produce red and white cells, but there are shots to help with that problem.  But as your grandmother is off of chemo treatment, I'd think that problem has passed.
