b12 shots v bloodwork of b12 pernicious anemia

dr says go ahead with b12 shot since i have autoimmune gastritis-biobsy result-so no b12 absorption. this will help anemia and iron infusions-- other dr says wants to do blood work first to check values incase no need shot.
i know i need shot-fingers numb, tingly, foggy brain, tired, and very anemic even after iron infusions plus the results of biopsy of Gastritis. if i go ahead with b12 shot, will the blood work the next day be goofy? or if i wait do bloodwork can b12 show false results since body not able to absorb etc??
--i believe this is Pernicious anemia-- b12 leads to nerve damage etc so very serious i get b12.
also b12 levels higher in eu and japan than us? 500plus inst of 200plus?

The vitamin B12 levels will be judged as per the range in your ethical community and geographical area. If you take vitamin B12 shot and then go for blood test, the results will naturally reflect this supplementation. So, if you have taken a shot, then wait for a week before doing the test. Also, the biopsy is pretty confirmatory and you do have symptoms of low vitamin B12. You can also get a complete haemogram and peripheral blood picture. This will also indicate if you have megaloblastic or low vitamin B12 related anemia. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
