Hi!
An un-recordable diastolic pressure and a high pulse pressure is a matter of great concern and needs emergency care. This can be due to heart block, arterio-venous malformation, aortic dissection, raised intracranial pressure, severe anemia etc. Please rush the elderly to an emergency care. An intravenous line should be started meanwhile.  Take care!
